Thanks in large part to catcher Denis Duncan, the Toledo Saboteurs beat the Asheville Highlanders, 7-4. Duncan went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Adam Smith notched his 11th save of the season. The setback makes Asheville 28-19.

Late in the game, left fielder Nicol Stolk had a big at-bat for Toledo. In the bottom of the eighth, he hit a run-scoring single off Eric Sims. The play gave the Saboteurs a 5-4 lead.

"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Asheville skipper Chris Sanders said.
