The Northville Eclipse went down to defeat to Junior Smith and his Asheville teammates. The final score was 4-2, in favor of the Highlanders. The Highlanders sport a record of 31-17.

The Highlanders got a big hit from right fielder Eddie Jones. In the bottom of the eighth, Jones smacked a bases-clearing double off Northville pitcher Umberto Erkelens. It was his 12th double of the season. Suddenly, the Highlanders were ahead, 4-2.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Northville manager Daniel Katz.
