The Northville Eclipse picked up a win at The Igloo, downing the Billings Polar Bears, 4-3. On the mound for Northville was right-hander Manuel Suárez, who played a pivotal role in the win. Ken Weaver collected his 11th save. With the win over Billings, the Eclipse improved to 27-21.
The result might have been different, had it not been for 25-year old shortstop Ville Lahtela. Lahtela had a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Eclipse ahead, 4-3. For the game, Lahtela had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
In postgame remarks, Lahtela applauded his team's "resolve."
