The Hollywood Shredders got a superb performance from pitcher Chris Johnston, but the Boston Patriots still won the game, 6-5. Johnston threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Boston reliever Yong-hyun Kim picked up the win, raising his record to 3-5. Skip Lewis was tagged with the loss. The Patriots raised their record to 48-37.

Bill Castro was the walk-off hero for Boston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Patriots designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Castro said.
