Patriots Sneak By Cattlemen, 5-4
|
The Boston Patriots beat the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 5-4 -- though it took them 11 innings. Boston left fielder Roberto Soto had a pretty good game. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Boston reliever Ki-seop Ch'oe picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Terry Lesage was saddled with the loss. The Cattlemen, now 37-48, have lost 4 straight.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Boston. That's when José Cuebas, who is tied for 10th in the PL in home runs with 14, hit a run-scoring double off Terry Lesage to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
Soto described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
