3-2 Win Gets Chesapeake to 33-18
|
In a tight contest between the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas and the St. Petersburg Thunder, Martín Orozco was the determining factor. The Chesapeake right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. The Silver AA-leading Cangrejos Fantasmas have a record of 33-18.
The Thunder had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Cangrejos Fantasmas going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old shortstop Bill Lawler came to the plate. Lawler hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch cutter from St. Petersburg hurler Lan-quing Xin. It was Lawler's 5th home run of the year.
When asked about his performance after the game, Lawler said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
