The 10-2 Gulf Coast win over Toledo was due in large part to TeiTetua Kalepa. The Turbeaus catcher went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Michael Carlson earned the win for Gulf Coast. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 3-2. Earning his 1st save for Gulf Coast was Larry Murphy.

With two out in the top of the fifth, Steve Bullard put Gulf Coast in front, 6-2, with a 2-run single. The Turbeaus went on to win the ballgame.

"Good hitting and good pitching is a lethal combination," said Kalepa.

The third-place Turbeaus lifted their record to 28-23.
