Rainbow Mermaids Get Clutch Win, 3-2
There was no shortage of dramatics at Atlantica.

The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids rode a solid performance from 33-year-old starting pitcher Mitsuo Yoshida to a win, beating the Toledo Stingers, 3-2, at Atlantica. The Rainbow Mermaids, at 47-38, sit in third place in the Premier League.

The Rainbow Mermaids got a clutch hit from catcher Harvey Thomas. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Rainbow Mermaids.

Yoshida attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
