Boucher Tames Pilgrims, 2-1
|
Field of Plenty featured a tense pitchers' duel.
The St. Petersburg Thunder earned a close win over the Providence Pilgrims, thanks in part to Graeme Boucher. The St. Petersburg right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the SAA in strikeouts with 69, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. By defeating Providence, the 5th-place Thunder improved to 26-27.
Boucher allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings for the Thunder. He walked 2 and struck out 6.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Providence manager Arturo Rochel. "The effort was great."
