Highlanders Rally to Win
Chesapeake designated hitter Bernardo López was sensational. He hit 2 home runs. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Asheville beat the Cangrejos Fantasmas, 6-5, in 12 innings. Asheville is now 36-20, while Chesapeake is 33-23.

Asheville used the timely hitting of George Morgan to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Highlanders on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Morgan. "But we got it done."
