Due in large part to second baseman Ryan White, the Lake Murray MotorBoaters sunk the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 12-5. White went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Paul Ramsey earned the win to go to 4-2. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with no walks and 10 strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work. The 5th-place MotorBoaters now have a win-loss record of 28-28.

Víctor Ríos was 1-3 with a hit by pitch for Lake Murray. The 26-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Clarence Hayes. It was his 26th RBI of the season.
