Pilgrims Even Record with 4-2 Victory
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Providence Pilgrims got the win.

The Providence Pilgrims knocked off the Minnesota Loons, 4-2, at Loony Bin. Bob Watson was a big reason Providence won. The first baseman hit 2 home runs. Jason Herbert nailed down the save.

With Providence leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Watson batted against Minnesota pitcher Jesús Delgado. Watson hit a fastball to center for a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season put the Pilgrims on top, 2-0.

Providence manager Arturo Rochel was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.

The Pilgrims, at 28-28, sit in 5th place in the Silver AA.
