The Lake Murray MotorBoaters topped the Billings Polar Bears, 5-4, in USSL Double A action at The Igloo. The standout performance belonged to Lake Murray pitcher and St. George, Utah, native Rory Taylor. Taylor yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-4. Max Burse nailed down the save.

Woody Evans had a big 2-run triple for the MotorBoaters in the top of the fifth inning. With Lake Murray leading 2-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Robin MacVicar and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the MotorBoaters ahead, 4-1.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Billings manager Justin Broadfoot. "But we decided not to take it."

The 5th-place MotorBoaters now have a win-loss record of 30-29.
