The Asheville Highlanders knocked off the Toledo Saboteurs, 6-4, at Asheville Park. Arturo Martas hit 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Tommy Woods picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Júlio Medina was tagged with the loss. The triumph puts Asheville at 40-21 for the season.

Asheville took a 6-4 lead on Dong-hua Sima's 9th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Sima hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Toledo pitcher Júlio Medina visibly frustrated.
