For the home crowd, it was a thrilling walk-off win.

The Memphis Mockingbirds had to overcome a fine effort from Buffalo pitcher Gilberto Cruz to win, 4-3, at Magnolia Park. Cruz went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Memphis reliever Nick Long picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Nick Watson was saddled with the loss.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Memphis. That's when Kelvin Reynolds hit a 3-run home run off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Nick Watson to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

Reynolds described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.

Memphis, now 7-2, is setting the league on fire so far.
