Saboteurs Get Past Asheville, 6-5
The Toledo Saboteurs faced a tough opponent in Asheville pitcher Neil Smith, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Asheville Park by a final score of 6-5. Smith went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Tom Womack snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-2 on the season. Andy Holley suffered the loss. The Saboteurs now have a mark of 29-33.

Toledo needed the clutch hitting of Jorge Cruz to notch the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Saboteurs on top, 6-5. For the game, Cruz had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Cruz told the Toledo Chronicle. "It's as simple as that."
