Thunder Lose By a Run at Arizona
Arizona Javelina starter Kenny Wallace turned in an exceptional performance against the St. Petersburg Thunder at Javelina Ballpark, resulting in a Arizona win, 2-1. After today's action, Arizona sits at 26-36; St. Petersburg slips to 30-32.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Javelina had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when third baseman Calvin Kirk hit a 2-run single. The single came off Hal Gaines and made the score 2-1, Javelina. Kirk went 1-3, while adding 2 RBI.

"Runs were at a premium," said Arizona manager Ricky O'Toole.
