Polar Bears Win 7-4 Nail-Biter Versus Pilgrims

The Igloo played host to some high drama.
The Billings Polar Bears knocked off the Providence Pilgrims, 7-4, in USSL Double A action at The Igloo. Billings pitcher and Kingston, Jamaica, native Dermot Chave had an outstanding performance. The winner in relief was Fernando Ortega. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-2.
Billings got a game-changing hit from Raúl Pérez. The catcher blasted a grand slam home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a winner.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Pérez said.
The loss makes Providence 32-32.
