Polar Bears Handle Pierogis, 4-1

Billings got a strong outing from Robin MacVicar as the Polar Bears defeated the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 4-1, at The Igloo. The winner was Billings reliever Tom Sparks, now 2-3. The loser was José Sandoval. Billings has 4 straight wins, Squirrel Hill 3 straight losses.
Raúl Gallegos, who is tied for 6th in the SAA in triples with 2, aided the Billings cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder went 1-3 with a walk.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Gallegos said.
