Extra-Inning Win by Blues Over Fighting Imps
|
Ithaca wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Steve Feijoo, falling to the Barton Springs Blues, 4-1. Feijoo threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Tom Butler picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Raúl Guzmán suffered the loss. Barton Springs has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.
Barton Springs used the timely hitting of Garry Brown to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Blues on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
