The Billings Polar Bears besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Northville center fielder Raúl Guerrero by beating the Eclipse, 6-5, at The Igloo. Guerrero was 3-4 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs. Tim Hill recorded his 3rd save for Billings. The 'W' lifts Billings's record to 34-32.

Had Shigenobu Miyazaki not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Miyazaki hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Polar Bears.

"We found a way to get it done," Miyazaki said.
