The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas went down to defeat to Salvador Rosas and his Providence teammates. The final score was 4-1, in favor of the Pilgrims. Luis Muñóz finished to wrap up his 3rd save. Providence is now 33-34, while Chesapeake is 43-24.

Jesse Kelley had a big 2-run double for the Pilgrims in the bottom of the third inning. With Providence leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher José Bautista and swatted a double to left. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pilgrims ahead, 3-0.

"Bottom line," said Chesapeake skipper John Moore, "we didn't play well enough to win."
