Polar Bears Best Blues in Pitching Duel
The Billings Polar Bears claimed a close win over the Barton Springs Blues, due in large part to Gerald Tate. The Billings left-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-0 win. Tim Hill earned save number 4 this season. The 5th-place Polar Bears are now 35-33, the Blues 26-42.

Billings used a well-timed hit by Salvador Sosa to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Polar Bears ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Tate said his team "played with focus."
