In a tight game between the Lake Murray MotorBoaters and the Minnesota Loons, pitcher Franco Morán was terrific on the mound. The Lake Murray right-hander helped his team to the 2-0 win. The win for the MotorBoaters lifted their record to 40-31.

Rick Etheridge had a big run-scoring triple for the MotorBoaters in the bottom of the third inning. With Lake Murray leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Jesús Delgado, who is tied for 10th in the SAA in holds with 4, and swatted a triple to center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the MotorBoaters ahead, 2-0.

"Franco pitched the ball pretty freaking great," said Lake Murray manager David Buchanan.
