Blues Suffer 4-1 Loss to Pierogis

The Squirrel Hill Pierogis got a strong performance from pitcher José Sandoval, who stymied the Barton Springs offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Field of the Rawhides. Squirrel Hill is now 33-39, while Barton Springs is 34-38.
Bruce King had a big hit for Squirrel Hill in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Squirrel Hill leading 1-0, King hit a run-scoring double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Pierogis up, 2-0.
"José knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said Squirrel Hill manager Ben Cooper.
