In a low-scoring contest between the Billings Polar Bears and the Lake Murray MotorBoaters, Steven Weaver was the X factor. The Billings right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Kojuro Kitakawa, now 6-3, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Billings is now 42-31.
Steve Edwards drew 1 walk for Billings. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Edwards, who leads the SAA in stolen bases with 17, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Lake Murray hurler Jeff Watson, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Polar Bears a 2-1 lead.
