Toronto Scrapes Out 7-5 Win
The Toronto Thunder besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Mexico City center fielder Rob Banks by beating the Blue Demons, 7-5, at Thunder Field. Banks went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. With the win, Toronto raised its record to 47-41.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Bill Simon came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Mexico City pitcher Ángel Santingo, he hit a 2-0 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Toronto on top, 7-5.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Simon said after the game.
