Turbeaus Topple Thunder, 6-3, as Sherman Shines
The Gulf Coast Turbeaus defeated the St. Petersburg Thunder, 6-3, in part because of first baseman Paul Sherman. Sherman was 3 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Turbeaus. Gulf Coast pitcher Michael Carlson earned the win, hiking his record to 7-3. Jeremy Harris suffered the loss. Now 45-29, the Turbeaus have won 11 games in a row.

Early in the game, Sherman had a 2-run triple for Gulf Coast. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Turbeaus on top, 2-0.

"This game can get contagious when you're going good offensively," said Gulf Coast manager Melvin McCullough.
