MotorBoaters Earn 7-4 Win Against Blues
|
Lake Murray starter Phil Monroe pitched well against the Barton Springs Blues at Blues Field. The left-hander led his team to a win, 7-4, in 11 innings. Max Burse earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-4. The MotorBoaters win now puts them at 38-37.
It could have been a different outcome for Lake Murray, had it not been for Ryan Hudson, the 26-year old first baseman . Hudson contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the 11th inning to put Lake Murray up, 5-4.
"Big win," said Hudson.
