Turbeaus Stick Polar Bears with 9-6 Loss
The Gulf Coast Turbeaus defeated the Billings Polar Bears by the score of 9-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Carsten Woestenberg. Woestenberg was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 for the Turbeaus on the day. The winner in relief was Danny Hill. He is now 6-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. The second-place Turbeaus now have a win-loss record of 43-33.

The Polar Bears had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Turbeaus going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old left fielder Scott Steiner came to the plate. Steiner hit a 2-run double on a full count fastball from Billings hurler Wayne Horne. It was Steiner's 20th double of the year.
