Cangrejos Fantasmas first baseman Juan Flores put his stamp on his team's 7-3 win over the Billings Polar Bears. Flores went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for Chesapeake in the contest. Toby Cates, credited with the win in relief, is now 8-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Chesapeake improves to 51-25 with the win. They lead their division by 8½ games.

Had Dana Brown not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Brown hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Cangrejos Fantasmas.
