The Gulf Coast Turbeaus grabbed a win, 16-3, over the Billings Polar Bears at Mobile Home Park. Gulf Coast left fielder Joaquim Pona went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Gulf Coast pitcher Steve Calhoun got the win. He's now 6-4. Robin MacVicar was tagged with the loss. The Turbeaus, now 48-29, have won 14 in a row.

The Turbeaus got a big hit from pinch hitter B.J. Harrison. Facing Billings pitcher Tom Sparks in the bottom of the seventh, Harrison pounded a 3-run home run to left. His 1st home run of the season put the Turbeaus ahead, 14-3.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Gulf Coast manager Melvin McCullough.
