Northville Wins, 4-3, Over Highlanders
|
Starting pitcher Pedro Soto pitched well enough to help the Northville Eclipse beat the Asheville Highlanders, 4-3. The save went to Apia Manumakalii, his 9th this season. With the win, Northville has a record of 39-39. Asheville falls to 46-32.
Northville went in front, 4-3, on Gus Miller's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Miller hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Asheville pitcher Barry Newman visibly perturbed.
"Pedro was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Northville manager Daniel Katz.
