Miners Deal Cangrejos Fantasmas 4-1 Defeat
|
The Marquette Miners went home winners at Ghost Crab Park, thanks in large part to starter Dave Roberts. Roberts stifled the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, enabling Marquette to grab the 4-1 win. Marquette, at 36-43, occupies 8th place in the Silver AA.
Marquette used the timely hitting of Gregg Curtis to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Miners on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We did a lot of things right," said Curtis.
