Patriots Popped by White Walkers, 6-1
|
Buffalo pitcher Zander Daig had a large part in his team beating the Boston Patriots, 6-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Daig yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 9. His record improves to 7-5. Buffalo raised its record to 46-42 with the win.
James Bell had a big 3-run home run for the White Walkers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Buffalo leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a cutter from Orlando Díaz, who is tied for 6th in the PL in holds with 6, and punished it. The result was his 15th home run of the season, which put the White Walkers on top, 6-1.
"I liked his command," said Buffalo manager Chris Lau. "Zander was throwing strikes."
