Guinea Pigs Chop Down Saboteurs, 5-4

The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs picked up a win at Toledo Backyard Park, downing the Toledo Saboteurs, 5-4. On the mound for Gwinnett was right-hander Cody Beasley, who played a pivotal role in the win. Gwinnett is now 42-39.
Gwinnett used the timely hitting of Richard Fairchild to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Guinea Pigs on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Rodney Dudley, the Toledo manager.
