Pierogis Get Past Billings, 4-3

The Billings Polar Bears could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Robin MacVicar into a win. Instead, the Squirrel Hill Pierogis prevailed, 4-3, in 10 innings. MacVicar threw 7.1 innings allowing 3 runs. Squirrel Hill is 4th in the Silver AA with a record of 43-44.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Squirrel Hill shortstop Gilberto Padilla, facing Andrés Chávez, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Pierogis the 4-3 win.
"This place was rockin'," said Padilla.
