Polar Bears Spill Eclipse, 4-1

Billings and Northville duked it out and the Polar Bears came out victorious.
Yakamochi Hirano, who is rated as the 99th best prospect by BNN, imposed his will on the Eclipse from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 4-1 Billings triumph. Tim Hill nailed down his 8th save.
Billings used the bat of Guarçia Solano to get the win. The first baseman spanked a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Polar Bears ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Solano. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
The 6th-place Polar Bears improved to 41-46.
