In a low-scoring tilt between the St. Petersburg Thunder and the Billings Polar Bears, 27-year old right-handed pitcher Jeremy Harris was the difference-maker. The St. Petersburg right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. The winning pitcher was Harris, now 4-3. He tossed 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. Keith Greene earned his 15th save, after closing out the game.

Center Fielder Marcus Holmes made an impact for St. Petersburg, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Jorge Pares in the top of the fourth. For the contest, Holmes went 2 for 5 with a triple and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Holmes said.

The 9th-place Thunder now have a record of 38-51.
