Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas starter Sumiteru Uemura took the mound against the Lake Murray MotorBoaters at Ghost Crab Park; and, when all was said and done, the right-hander led his team to an extra-inning, 9-6 win. Chesapeake goes to 58-31. The win puts them 5 games up in their division.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Chesapeake. That's when Carlos Gómez, who is tied for 4th in the SAA in total bases with 153, hit a grand slam home run off Mark Lee to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"It was bedlam at the end," Uemura said.
