Thunder Hawks Use Late Rally to Win
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks withstood an impressive performance by Chesapeake third baseman Andrew Hatcher to defeat the Cangrejos Fantasmas, 7-5, at Ghost Crab Park. Hatcher was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Ft. Polk South reliever Vitale Piantini snagged the win, upping his record to 6-3. Pedro Sáenz shouldered the loss. The loss makes Chesapeake 50-39.

Ft. Polk South needed the clutch hitting of Dan White to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Thunder Hawks on top, 6-5. For the game, White had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Nice win for us," said White. "Now we'll go after the next one."
