Shredders Show Nerve in Tight 7-6 Win
The Hollywood Shredders trumped the Baltimore Bullets, 7-6, at The Hollywood Bowl. Hollywood first baseman José Vera was terrific. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Hollywood pitcher Vic Byrd got the win. He's now 2-6. Larry Wallace was tagged with the loss. The defeat makes Baltimore 44-45.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the ninth when Luis Tañón hit a run-scoring double off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Larry Wallace to win the game for Hollywood. The home crowd went wild.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Vera.
