The Toledo Saboteurs and Vancouver Vipers put on a pitchers' duel.

The Toledo Saboteurs topped the Vancouver Vipers, 2-0, in USSL Double A action at Toledo Backyard Park. The standout performance belonged to Toledo pitcher and Gilbert, Arizona, native Lonnie Burton. Jesse Yates earned the save, his 12th in 15 tries.

Burton, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 4-5. In 8 innings of work, Burton gave up no runs on 2 hits, while racking up 8 Ks. He kept the Vipers punchless, offensively.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Toledo manager Rodney Dudley said.

The Saboteurs now have a record of 30-61.
