Squirrel Hill pitcher Myung-woo Kang had a large part in his team subduing the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 5-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Squirrel Hill is now 46-45.
Glenn Beck helped out the Squirrel Hill cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-4 with a walk.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Pierogis manager Ben Cooper, "I like our chances."
