The Lake Murray MotorBoaters and Providence Pilgrims played an entertaining game for Heron Field patrons.

Manuel Méndez helped his team muscle past the Providence Pilgrims, 5-4. In the game, the Lake Murray third baseman went 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Lake Murray now has a record of 54-37 with the win.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Lake Murray trailing 4-3, Méndez hit a fastball from Luis Muñóz for a 2-run single. In the blink of an eye, the MotorBoaters had a walk-off win.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Méndez.
