Minnesota used a superb performance from starting pitcher Jeff Benson to down the Casper Ghosts, 3-1. Quan Situ, credited with the save, is now 6 for 8 in save opportunities. The win elevated the Loons to 50-41.

Minnesota went in front, 3-0, on Tim Raines's 9th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Raines hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Casper pitcher Wesley Edwards visibly perturbed.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Raines.
