Memphis Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
|
Northern Virginia third baseman Garry Park played a vital role in his team's 6-3 conquest of Memphis. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Northern Virginia. The slumping Mockingbirds have lost 8 straight.
Park contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Northern Virginia in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Park took a cutter from Terry Ward and stroked the home run to center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Rainbow Mermaids to leap in front, 2-1.
"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Memphis manager Beau Carsten.
