Turbeaus Roll to 8-2 Win Over Highlanders

At Mobile Home Park, the Asheville Highlanders and Gulf Coast Turbeaus were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Gulf Coast Turbeaus got a stellar effort from pitcher Brad Green, helping Gulf Coast score a win over the visiting Asheville Highlanders, 8-2. The winning pitcher was Green, now 8-6. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7.
Center Fielder Nathan Dooley made an impact for Gulf Coast, when he swatted a 2-run double off Junior Smith in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Dooley went 2-5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Gulf Coast skipper John Simpson.
The 5th-place Turbeaus are 50-44.
