King Lifts Pierogis to 16-8 Triumph
A 4-RBI performance from shortstop Bruce King led the Squirrel Hill Pierogis to a win over the Vancouver Vipers, 16-8. Jerry Shaw, who is tied for 8th in the SAA in wins with 7, was the winner. He's now 7-2. The loser was Wendell Latham. Squirrel Hill, now 54-41, holds down third place in the Silver AA.

In the first inning, King had a grand slam home run for Squirrel Hill. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Pierogis on top, 6-0.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," King told the Squirrel Hill Gazette.
