Asheville got a valiant performance from pitcher Joaquín Martínez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Casper Ghosts. Casper won the game, 6-0. Martínez threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Casper now sits at 46-50, while Asheville falls to 51-45.

Casper used a timely hit from Mike Blake to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Ghosts ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
