Pierogis Pull Off Thrilling 7-5 Win in Extras
The Squirrel Hill Pierogis used the hitting of first baseman Glenn Beck to subdue the Vancouver Vipers, 7-5, in 12 innings. For the game, Beck went 3-7 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win was credited to 22-year old right-handed pitcher Brad Pratly in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Abel Holland took the loss. Squirrel Hill is now 55-41, Vancouver 50-46.

Beck had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a 2-2 fastball from Abel Holland, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Pierogis a 7-4 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Beck.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Beck.
