Polar Bears Suffer 11-4 Home Defeat
Behind the hitting of Jing-sheng Siu, the Ithaca Fighting Imps stopped the Billings Polar Bears, 11-4. Siu went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Fighting Imps. Gary Aldridge picked up the win, lifting his record to 9-1 on the season. He struck out 5 and walked 1 in 5.1 innings, while yielding 4 runs. Andrés Gonzáles recorded the save, his 1st.

Ithaca used the hitting of Chris Gillespie to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Fighting Imps on top, 2-0. For the game, Gillespie had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

Ithaca manager Jeffrey Lewis was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
