Minnesota pitcher Alexander Shuker did his part in helping his team defeat the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 3-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The win went to Ryan McDaniel in relief. His record improves to 8-1. Britt Peck took the loss. Clay May earned the save, his 10th.

Minnesota used the hitting of Cy Curry to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Loons on top, 2-1. For the game, Curry had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
