Vancouver Vipers starter Lance Leslie hurled his team past the Asheville Highlanders, 4-2. Picking up his 9th save was fireballing right-hander Adam Hill. The Vipers, at 51-47, sit in 7th place in the Silver AA.

The Highlanders had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Vipers going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old third baseman Carl Roberts came to the plate. Roberts hit a run-scoring triple on a 1-1 curveball from Asheville hurler Doyle Manning. It was Roberts's 2nd triple of the year.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Leslie. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
