Loons Turn Back Turbeaus, 4-3

The Minnesota Loons beat the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 4-3, in part because of right fielder Raúl Morales. He went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Daniel Shields claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 3-7. Eddy Poole earned save number 5 this season.
Morales had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Carter King, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Loons a 4-2 lead. It was the 16th double of the year for Morales.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Morales said.
The current losing streak for Gulf Coast has reached 4 games.
