Highlanders Fall Short, 4-3, at Vancouver
|
Behind a solid performance from second baseman Rick Henshaw-Jacobs, the Vancouver Vipers defeated the Asheville Highlanders, 4-3. Henshaw-Jacobs went 1 for 1 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times for the Vipers. The setback makes Asheville 52-47.
The Vipers got a big at-bat from first baseman Héctor Trujillo. For the game, Trujillo was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Vancouver a 2-0 lead.
