Peck Delivers Walk-Off Win for Cangrejos Fantasmas
|
Fans watched the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas and the Minnesota Loons fight to the finish.
The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas had to weather a strong performance from Minnesota pitcher Daniel Shields before claiming a 2-1 win in 10 innings. Shields went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Chesapeake is now 66-33, 7½ games up in the Silver AA.
The Cangrejos Fantasmas got a clutch hit from left fielder Alan Peck. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Cangrejos Fantasmas.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Chesapeake manager John Moore.
