The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas faced a tough opponent in Virginia Beach pitcher Robert Joubert, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ghost Crab Park by a final score of 3-2. Joubert went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. With the victory, the Cangrejos Fantasmas upped their record to 57-43.

Chesapeake took a 3-2 lead on Yerson Acevedo's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Virginia Beach pitcher Marcel Traas in the bottom of the eighth.
