The Barton Springs Blues saddled the Squirrel Hill Pierogis with a loss at Blues Field. The final score was 5-2. Tim Gilbert was 2 for 5, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Barton Springs left fielder scored 1 run and drove in 4. Barton Springs is now 46-54, Squirrel Hill 41-59.
With Barton Springs leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Gilbert hit a curveball from José Sandoval for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Blues ahead, 5-0.
