Loss Tarnishes Fine Effort by Peña
Billings got a terrific game from first baseman Juan Peña. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Chesapeake, 8-5. Peña slugged 3 home runs. Chesapeake goes to 67-34. The win puts them 8 games up in their division.

Chesapeake used a well-timed hit by Orlando Núñez to capture the win. The third baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Cangrejos Fantasmas ahead, 6-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We've got a great group of guys," Núñez said, "and we're having fun right now."
