Polar Bears Handed 6-4 Loss by Turbeaus
|
The Gulf Coast Turbeaus racked up a win at The Igloo, bumping off the Billings Polar Bears, 6-4. Artie Jones, who started for Gulf Coast, pitched effectively for his team. Kenny Flint finished the game for Gulf Coast and earned his 28th save. The Turbeaus, at 63-38, lead by one game in their division.
Gulf Coast used a big swing from Larry Rothrock to get the win. The center fielder walloped a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Turbeaus up, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Jones.
